Hope everyone's Imbolic was well spent.  Mine was interesting to say the least.. It's March already.  For some of us that means the spring is comming.  Some time this month go out on a desent day and enjoy mother earth.  This month brings Ostara.  Plant a tree. Help keep the Earth clean. Mother Earth can't do this on her own, and we are the ones destroying it.  Recycle anything that can be. I ain't only saying this for my friend. I am doing it as well as passing this on. This month does bring some sadness on the 28th of March.  Scott Cunningham, an author of many Wiccan books, died of complications caused by the AIDS in 1993.  Though we didn't know him, we can keep a part of him alive by remembering his work and by passing his knowledge on to future generations. 

Pashka is a special cheesecake that you may wish to make and serve during your celebration.

Recipe for Pashka 

1 pound cream cheese, softend
1/2 pound cottage cheese or ricottta
3 tablespons unsalted butter, softened
1 cup vanilla sugar (or 1cup sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla)
1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped candied fruit or white raisins
1/2 cup slivered almonds 
Fresh or candied violets, or colored iceing

Cream together cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, and butter until thoroughly blended.  Add rest of the ingredients except the violets and blend.  Line a strainer with clan muslin and place the stainer across a bowl. Fill the strainer with the cheese mixture, fold the muslin over the chees, and place a weight on top. Refrigerate overnight.  THe following day turn the mixture out onto a plate, peel off the muslin, and decorate it with the violets or flowers made of icing.  Serve slices with traditional breads.
