Paganism Information and Networking Sites

This section will help you to find information on Pagan paths other than those based upon witchcraft and Wicca. I've listed links to help you find information on Druidism, Asatru, Celtic, Slavic and Egyptian lore and Shamanism, as well as products you may be looking for.

(You might also wish to look at the Wicca/Witchcraft page. See link below.)

Wicca/Witchcraft Information and Networking Links

Let's start with a site that has information on the religions of the world and promotes tolerance of each other's beliefs. This site is well-known and presents reliable information about the different religions.

Religious Tolerance

Here is a site with information on Druidism.

Druidism

If you're looking for information on Celtic deities and mythology, or Irish lore or the Gaelic language, this site may have what you're looking for. It has lots of information on these topics, plus Celtic clipart, lists of recommended reading and much more.

Celtic & Irish information

These two sites are also recommended for those who are seeking knowledge of the traditions of the Celts/Gaels.

The following three sites have information on ASATRU, or Northern Heathenism, and Norse mythology.

This site has quite a bit of information on Norse/Teutonic mythology (legends) as well as an alphabetical list of Norse deities and much more.

Norse/Teutonic Mythology

The next site is dedicated to information on Asatru, or Norse Heathenism, the identification preferred over Neo-Paganism.

Asatru/Norse Heathenism

The following site has information on Asatru and the Norse Traditions. It includes some relevant Celtic and Slavic information.

Northern Traditions

This website deals with Polish (and Slavic as a whole) Paganism.

Slavic Paganism

The ancient religion of the Egyptians is practiced today as Kemetic Orthodoxy. You can find out more about the deities and practices at this site.

Kemetic Orthodoxy

Now for some information on SHAMANISM. I have four very different sites for you to look at.

I haven't had a lot of luck finding information about Native American Shamanism on the web that didn't sound like it was advocating the use of hallucinogenic drugs. This site does have some information, though. Enter Spiritwalker's Healing Circle, then click on the part of the Wheel that says "the Way of the Shaman."

Healing Bear Shamanism

This site presents information on Contemporary Shamanism from The Raven Lodge. This site is from the UK and has influences of Celtic Shamanism, but seems to also be greatly influenced by the practices of the Native Americans.

The Raven Lodge

This site offers international courses on Shamanism and takes a more scientific approach.

The Foundation for Shamanic Studies

Here is something that I plan to delve further into myself because it involves different things that are important to me - spirituality, the environment and womanhood. There is a relationship between Shamanism and the Ecofeminism (Ecological Feminism) movement. Find out more by visiting the site below.

Shamanism in Ecofeminism

You can find out more about ecofeminism on my environmental page.

PAGANISM IN POLITICS

More than ever before, Pagans are "coming out of the broom closet" and standing up for their rights. Here in the United States, a Pagan political group has formed. The Pagan Unity Campaign (PUC) Political Action Committee (PAC) plans to research the views and voting records of political candidates and will endorse those who are most likely to uphold the rights of American Pagans. They will also conduct public awareness campaigns. To find out more, visit the organization's official website. There you will find information and links to member's personal PUC PAC sites and a link to the group's public message board.

PUC PAC's official website

The Pagan community is coming together and this site is helping it to do so. The Pagan Relief Network (PRN) is part of the World Wide Pagan Network (WWPN).

WWPN and PRN

There is an online club dedicated to worldwide Pagan unity and networking. Several members are also involved with PUC PAC and WWPN. Unlike my club that is restricted to Pagans in Texas who are over 18, this club, United Pagans, is open to members of any age, from anywhere in the world, and does have several international members.

Check out the UNITED PAGANS online club!

The Midessa Pagans are an eclectic group of people on various Pagan paths in and around the Midland/Odessa part of the Permian Basin of West Texas. Along with an egroup for those of us living out here, the website has features such as message boards with discussions on a variety of topics, interactive fiction and links to other related sites.
